WHAT IS THE INSIDE OUT PROJECT?

The Inside Out Project was started by street artist JR to help people around the world change their communities through art.

A group of students at Keysborough College wanted to use the Inside Out project to promote a message against discrimination at their school by using photos that promote difference and diversity.

"Inside Out is a large-scale participatory art project that transforms messages of personal identity into pieces of artistic work." JR

"I stand up against racism"

"I promote diversity"

"I want to live free from discrimination"

"I believe all people should be

treated with respect and dignity"

"People should not be bullied if they

like the same sex"

"I accept people’s ideas even if they’re different to my own"

"I value all people from all walks of life"

"Accept me for who I am and not for

what you want me to be"

Each student and teacher that posed for a photo submitted a message that stands up against discrimination.
